A New Chapter: Exploring My Countryside Property

 Hello everyone!

In my last update, I mentioned my plans to leave the hustle and bustle of urban life behind and move to a place where I could immerse myself in new projects that blend my passion for technology with a love for the countryside. Well, I’m excited to share that I’ve taken the plunge and acquired a beautiful piece of property in the countryside! To give you a better look at the property and my plans, I’ve also posted a video on YouTube—check it out here.

The Journey So Far

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind as I transitioned from city life to a more rural setting. The new property is a perfect playground to test out my ideas—a mix of traditional country side with potential waiting to be unlocked. Right now, I’m temporarily staying here, but I’m already planning how to make the most of this space.

A Glimpse of the Property

The land itself is stunning. Behind me are rows of apple, cherry, and pear trees already bearing fruit.

There’s also a greenhouse on the property, which I’m eager to convert into a tech-savvy space for experimenting with agricultural IoT (Internet of Things).

The goal is to figure out how to use technology to grow crops more efficiently and sustainably, making these advancements accessible to small-scale farms, not just the big players.

Walking around the property, I noticed the red building in the distance—horse stables. Yes, we have a couple of horses on the property. I’m looking forward to incorporating them into my projects as well.

The Historic House

One of the interesting parts of this property is the historic house that came with it. Built in the 1800s and renovated in the 1950s, the house is full of character, but it also needs a lot of work. Our goal is to modernize it while respecting its rich history. This means careful restoration of features like the windows and tackling common issues found in older homes, such as heating and ventilation.

I want to balance preserving the house’s traditional charm and integrating modern conveniences. This will be a challenging but rewarding process, and I’m excited to share each step with you as I work to bring this old house into the 21st century.

What’s Next?

Moving forward, I’ll dive into projects exploring the intersection of IoT and agriculture while restoring and upgrading this beautiful property. From smart farming solutions to sustainable living, there’s much to look forward to, and I can’t wait to share more of this journey with you.

This blog will serve as a journal of my experiences—both the successes and the challenges. Whether installing open-source technology in the greenhouse or restoring the old house, I hope to provide insights and inspiration for anyone looking to embark on a similar adventure.

Thank you for following along. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to explore and develop my new countryside home!
